Prayer request

Dear friends,

I would like to specifically ask for your prayers. Our pastor R. Nathan is going to visit us here for a few days and we thought of trying to take advantage of his presence here to:

1. Introduce the Vineyard to the Tanzanian public. IT is important to note the fact that… there is already a Vineyard church here in Dar. And while it is congregation is drawn from primarily the expert community, we both agree in the importance of making sure indigenous Tanzanians see our movement as the best friend to them and their community. Towards that, the expert church joins hands with us as we are trying to reach out to our city.

2. Introduce and present key Vineyard distinctive (Vision, values & priorities) to the potential pastors, leaders and those who have shown interest and desire to understand the movement (and possibly become a part of it).

3. Connect with pastors and ministers of other churches in Dar Metro area. Tim B. (The founding pastor of Dar Vineyard) had connection with a few pastors form other denominations. It has been a year since he left, and there has been a vacuum, especially among the majority of indigenous pastors who do not even know we exist.

TO achieve this we have organized a 4 days conference (Wednesday; June 18 - Saturday; June 21) that will include events that are geared to address the above 3 key objectives. These events include: Three (3) day public conference on “Relevant Christianity in a Modern World”. 2 days of Vineyard distinctive. And a Saturday morning of “Pastors & Leaders Fellowship” We are also looking forward for a two early morning worship services in the heart of the city. We are looking forward to anything between 150 – 200 attendees to these morning services.

Please pray for
- Continued Lords’ favor on all that we have set our hearts to do… Both Rich and I will be teaching, and we wish to only be used as tools for his own Glory
- That people will see evidence of the breaking in of the kingdom in their lives.
- That he will use these events to jump start our efforts to reach out to the indigenous with the good news of the gospel

Blessings
Ned

Edmond,

May the Lord look favorably upon your ministry particularly this coming week. Rich shared how excited he is to visit in Dar and about the speaking and teaching opportunities that are lined up. May you all be filled with the Spirit and connect meaningfully with the community.

Give our best to Dorothy and the children.
